doesn't: build a better pill bottle
As someone who takes a LOT of medication, this just blows me away. An art school grad took on the task of redesigning the pill bottle and label for Target pharmacies: How the pill bottle was remade—sensibly and beautifully. (via Signal vs. Noise). Why hasn't this happened before??? It is information & interaction & usability design at its finest!
Apparently it hit Target stores May 1st. It's called ClearRX. That might be enough to make me switch from Walgreen's! And Target gives you that option right on their Pharmacy page. Definitely click on "See what's new" to look at all the highlights about the new design. And then you also must go to their Design for All site and click on the yellow ring - it's an incredibly interesting Flash piece that talks about how she designed it, everything that went into the decisions, the info architecture, etc. She even collaborated with Milton Glaser himself (the creator of the I(heart)NY logo) on it!
I'm seriously blown away. I haven't been this impressed with something in a long time.
