UPDATE: port removed

BTW – in case you didn’t know, a port is a MediPort, for administering meds too caustic to be given by IV. Let me clarify: I did not have someone take away my sweet fortified wine; nor did I close down the hardware interface by which I communicate with another device or system; and alas, I did not even have my crew destroy the place where my ships may dock secure from storms to take on or discharge cargo.

Glad we got that cleared up. Back to our regularly scheduled programming.

I’ll post photos later. And I got to keep the port. But it hurts like a sonofabitch! (Let’s just say that the combination of bouncy boobs and a stitched up chest wound is not a pleasant one.) I have to wear a bra 24/7. At one point there was bloody ooze soaking all the way through the gauze and I was in so much pain that I had literally tried wrapping my upper body in ACE bandages to get it to stay still when I moved. Motrin wasn’t even touching this pain, baby. I finally called the doc in tears. “Huh. We didn’t send a pain scrip with you? Because I had to do minor surgery to get it out – I had to cut through all kinds of scar tissue and really dig it out; it was really in there!” Great.
