i hate migraines!

I am lucky enough to suffer from migraines with a visual aura. I got one of those today. And I was completely unprepared to leave work; I'd been working on my desktop, nothing was named to hand-off, and I had a deadline. I took my medicine and it didn't work. As the twirling, swirling, flashing silver crescent moon of a blind spot grew and grew and then faded, slowly the vise tightened around my skull. Luckily, I didn't throw up. I hate these because I can't just up and go home, because I can't drive with a huge, disorienting blind spot. And then later, when I needed to eat dinner, I didn't have anything to eat (of course.) I had to go out and get something because this is San Antonio, and pizza delivery would take too long.

Hmmm... move along folks. Nothing funny here.
