Remember how I told you I was irresponsible and hadn’t filed my taxes until the 11th hour? Well, I used TurboTax for the Web and e-filed them. Whew! (right?)

Well, then imagine my feeling (see post title) when I opened gmail this morning (August 16th, the day AFTER the deadline) and saw a message saying my e-filing has been accepted, now I just have to go click a link that says “Complete My Return” (!!!) Wha? I did! I already completed my return! All you (TurboTax) needed to do was e-file the damn thing! There should be no additional action on my part! In my head ran images of audits and sweating and bright lights …

So I go to TurboTax and there is no “Complete My Return” option. Their instructions are wrong. Everything was filed on-time, I will not be going to jail after all. All I had to do was print my forms. WHEW!
