weekend report

Here’s the rundown: I had a full yet relaxing weekend. Took it easy Friday – we had a fabulous dinner at Stoneworks that ended with a sizzling peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream, then watched Kung Fu Hustle (which was … interesting?) Saturday was full of errands, including getting the doohickey to set up my dual monitors (sweet!!!), lunch at MadHatters, and then watching Fidel buy an extravagantly expensive shirt. We all got dressed for a night on the town, had dinner at Canyon Cafe, then went downtown to Medusa. I’d never been and it was great; I loved the atmosphere, and the music (incredible DJ). I could’ve stayed there all night, and maybe we should’ve. We ended up at Rive (which was also … interesting … ask me sometime how you can almost get kicked out.) As we were leaving, a whole stream of little people were coming in … that entire part of the evening was kind of surreal.

I’m still fighting whatever this crap is, with the blocked sinuses, pain in the ears, and cough. Other people are getting sick, so I don’t know if I trust the doc-in-the-box who said it was just allergies. Then again he prescribed me Vicodin for the cough, so he can’t be all bad, can he? ;)
