vacation: california

We leave for our trip to California on Friday!!! I’m so excited! Pictures to take, the PCH to drive, gorgeous weather to enjoy. But there is so much to do before I leave, both for work and for trip prep. I’m running on very little sleep at this point, and I haven’t even begun to pack yet. I am really low on clothes; I need to do some shopping, but it looks like I’m going to have to buy stuff there. At least I did a couple of loads of laundry tonight. I’ve got a couple of comps due at work, so that’s what I’m taking a break from right now. I may have to take a power nap when I finish this post and then come back to it.

We leave at noon on Friday, and that means Thursday I have to take Winston for a bath in the wee hours of the morning, and then take him out to my cousin’s place in the Hill Country. All that on top of packing and making a Target run for a lamp timer. And watering my poor lawn that I think my neighbors finally got so fed up with that they mowed it. I’ve been a little lacking in the housekeeping arena lately…

I think I just fell asleep for a second. Power nap it is.
