diy? why?????

OK. I'm a little tired. A lot tired. It's been the longest short week possible at work, and for 3 weeks now my every spare moment has gone into renovating the kitchen and master bathroom. tonight i finished faux painting the venetian plaster along the countertop/backsplash in the kitchen so the countertops can be installed tomorrow!!! And I scraped all the 25 year old caulk off the 120-lb, cast-iron/porcelain-enameled sink (that my dad and I pulled out by ourselves) so we can reinstall it. But before we can do that, I have to pick out a new kitchen faucet.

I'm tired and amped at the same time. I'll let you know how the counter install goes tomorrow, and how the dishwasher install goes on Friday. Expect pictures!
