nouns vs. verbs
Today at work, I told Jerod “Google [did something*]“. He looked at me very puzzled, turned around to his computer, fiddled around, and turned back around, still very puzzled. I couldn’t understand his puzzlement. He couldn’t understand WTF I was talking about. It turns out he had turned around and googled “did something” and couldn’t fathom why I’d had him search for that. We were both cracking up for about five minutes.
That’s the trouble you get when a noun starts to be used interchangeably as a verb.
*the something Google did is not material to this post, as it would only serve to make it longer and even less interesting and funny. and nobody wants that.
