the notebook *sob*
So I've had "The Notebook" for probably (...checking Netflix...) oh! only a month and a half now. (That's right — it was the first 2 discs of 24: Season 3 that I had for so long. Wow! Actually, I only had those for a month too.) This seems like the longest month of my life. I think my life is currently being shot in whatever is the opposite of "bullet-time."
Sorry. Where was I? Oh, yeah — "The Notebook." So I watched that last night, and I'm telling you, that is one hell of a chick flick. In addition to the man-candy that is Ryan Gosling, I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed. I never see movies that have me sobbing *out loud* for practically the entire second half.
So, ladies — see it. Gentlemen, run!

Hehe... Seen it twice with my family and once with Justin. All the men weathered it well. Dad's an old softy who hides it well, but I even caught him tearing up and doing that manly-man throat-clearing "WOW, something inexplicably large just got caught right in my throat!" ruse.
Me? I just get all curled up in a ball until there's just my face poking out. Some of that energy expended on getting into and keeping that position keeps me from bursting out in tears that won't stop. ;) Besides, it's the universal cat invitation call -- I invariably end up with at least one cat curled up on or beside me.

Animals seem to know when their people need a little moral support, and nothing says moral support like curling up next to someone.
