queensrÿche!!!
Well, this was a helluva show – it was more of a theatrical production than a concert. There were actors on stage playing Dr. X and the Nurse and Sister Mary. The old stuff was great, but I could live without “Operation: Mindcrime II”.
We got there a little late, hoping to miss most of the opening band. But there was no opening band. Who doesn’t have an opening band??? So they were already well into their show.
We had General Admission tickets, and that is the way to go at the Warfield. We were so close! The Warfield is a lot like the Majestic in San Antonio – very ornate and opulent. But the Warfield has stripped out all the seats on the first floor but kept the risers, so pretty much anywhere in GA is a good view.
I only got one sucky cameraphone photo (seen here) but JR got some great shots.

Any “Silent Lucidity”?
If so, I hate you both.
Just sayin’… hehehe!!!
I think Primus didn’t have an opener. Then again, who in their right mind would attempt to open for Primus? It’s like impossible.
I’ve seen Seatttle’s Finest Metal band three times – twice playing Mindcrime in total. They are AWESOME! Did they have the male/female duet on Suite Sister Mary? I am not sure how I feel about Mindcrime II. I guess they needed something besides a 20 year old album to tour on.
