flickr turn(ed) 4
Being in the SF/Bay area comes with certain privileges. Among these are attending things like the Flickr birthday parties. It was in March, but I finally uploaded my flickr turns 4 photoset. JR and I met Shannon there, and we all had a good time. This year it was held at 111 Minna, a gallery space where I-swear-to-god every event we've been to in six months has been held. I'm a little sick of the place. It's always uncomfortably crowded, hard to move around in, and for a gallery it's got really bad lighting, with much of it pointing right at your eyeballs in most of the places where you actually can sit.
I liked the Flickr party better last year, when it was held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. That place was cool, with much better lighting. It was also less crowded, but I don't know if that was because it was a bigger space or just fewer people.

*jealous* - San Antonio has NO perks :( aside from great Mexican food.

I think there were probably more people last year, but the YBCA was far larger.
